KS1 & KS2 Winter Concerts 2024

13 December 2024

Thank you for joining us at these events, and helping to make them full of ruach and community togetherness. Thank you especially for being very good sports and joining in with the singing. Garinim presented their first ever concert with great aplomb.

In the case of Anafim Year 3, who taught their audience an entire song without preparation, this was an important experience.

Casting children in the role of experts and teaching their adults something is very powerful, especially when they get to see their adults pretending to catch snowflakes on their tongues! Singing is not everyone’s favourite of course, but most children really loved the concert experience the preparation as much, maybe even more, than the event itself – so that is the point, of course.

The older children’s repertoire was so sophisticated and I was very proud that some of our children provided the instrumental accompaniment, rather than a backing track. Well done to all the children. They shone.

Here are Nitzanim Year 4 performing ‘A Hazy Shade of Winter’ with guitars played by Sonny ,
Gidi and Raphael.
