A wonderful time was had by all at the Shtillim Year 2 sleepover in school yesterday. Children listened to the adults and helped each other so wonderfully that the event went without a hitch. They enjoyed an art activity where they were invited to picture their hopes and dreams – for the future and for the next academic year – then draw them onto a white pillowcase using fabric pens. They could then sleep on the very pillowcase they had decorated – I wonder if any of their pictures made it into their actual dreams that night?
With old fashioned sports day style games, a barbecue supper and a movie followed by hot chocolate, it was a lovely event. Many thanks go to their class teacher Lucie, TA Alana and T’marim teacher Chloe who slept over with the children, and to staff who popped up to help out and join in at various points including Kate, Fiona, Yifat, Martin and Eli. And huge thanks again to Branko who, after Anafim camping, is becoming a barbecue expert. The class definitely feel more grown up and ready for Year 3.
