T’marim @ Barnet Powerhouse

16 May 2025

Today T’marim attended a friendly football tournament against other local schools. They played really well and acted in support of each other as a class team. Not everyone is mad on football (no, really, they’re not) but even those children who weren’t so keen went on the pitch to form a mixed team so that Eden could field a team in every section of the competition.

Some of the schools, e.g. Rhodes Avenue, Coleridge, have so many children and can field really strong teams. One of the Rhodes players is in the Arsenal academy and already has Adidas sponsorship. But little Eden, small and mighty, held their own! We didn’t win anything. BUT these children made us really proud today, and all this week. It has been a terrific week for them.

Well done, T’marim!

Geva’s pose (far right) says it all: small but strong and never deterred! Laura tells me “He gave it 200%. No, 300%.” (Which makes me only slightly worried about their maths SATs.)
